USAORCA is partnering with Gorge Downwind Champs in 2025

USAORCA is joining up with the Gorge Downwind Champs, the largest gathering of OC1 and OC2 competitors in a long distance event in the continental USA.   USAORCA is looking to gain prominence as your Outrigger Racing Organization.  GDC allowing us to piggyback on this years downwind and recognize this as a preview to our future.  This year, July 14-19, 2025, will provide participants in the GDC the ability to earn the USA National OC1/OC2 Distance Champion title!    Of course, GDC will be also announce awards and prizes as usual. 

How to participate:  Gorge Downwind registration opened January 12, 2025 and has closed at capacity!  There is a limit on entries - however, they continue to award spaces as some initial registrants will opt out.   If you are NOT YET a participant, get onto the wait list.  This event is an elite, top paddler caliber event and not for the faint of heart, please consider your skill level before signing up.  Registered GDC paddlers will receive a confirmation email from USAORCA to confirm details of participation!  

Five entries per OC1 division must be registered to be considered and three entries per OC2 division.  Age for this event is based on age at 12/31/2025!  Only USA mainland paddlers are eligible, sorry International and Hawaii folks; GDC's Pro division paddlers will be included in the USA Nationals.
