Mark your calendars for the IVF World Distance Championships-Brazil

August 13 through August 20/21, 2025

 The Brazil schedule is below. This includes course familiarization and opening ceremonies with a closing ceremony at the end.  There is also a race in Brazil on August 22, if you want to add another experience on top of IVF events (details below). 

USA ORCA Race Committee will be staging the U.S. National qualifiers on Feb. 1 and Feb. 2, 2025 in Southern California. V1 paddlers and V6 Adult Crews will race head to head to earn the spot! 

• Register now for V1 U.S. Nationals qualifying event (15 mi.). Feb. 1. All ages!

• Pre-register (CLOSED) for V6 U.S. Nationals. Feb. 2. Location pending. Adults only.

    Be aware that for U.S. Nationals V6 trials, all teams are required to race in a Puakea Malolo canoe. If you need to borrow a canoe, a rental and trailering fee will apply. ONE PERSON ON YOUR TEAM WILL MARK CANOE BORROWING AND PAY THE $90 FEE on the paddle guru registration. Though we have already heard from many of you regarding canoes, please give us a heads up as well: ac@usaorca.org

Note that IVF Worlds Distance Championships is considered an 'elite' event. Only one entry per division is permitted (i.e., 1 Open V1 Male, 1 Open V6 Men's Crew, etc., for all age divisions).  The event is inclusive of all IVF divisions from Junior 16 through Master 80 in both men and women's events plus Para Va'a.

This requires travel to another city and pre-registration to attend and obtain race equipment.  Please review at the link to make an informed decision.  The event is a 3-day downwind format race with participation independent of USAORCA.
