Mark your calendars for August 2025 for the Brazil World Distance event.   UPDATE:  Date change - now 8/13-21/2025

Schedule of the event is still under construction but estimated dates are >> August 13 to 21 << !  This includes course familiarization and opening ceremonies  with a closing ceremony at the end.  Remember its a long trip to Brazil so plan for travel time if you're scheduling time away from work or school! USA ORCA Race Committee has formed a long distance subcommittee to address the specialized format of the 4th IVF Long Distance Championship.

Long Distance is considered an 'Elite' event as only one entry per division is permitted (i.e., 1 Open V1 Male, 1 Open V6 Men's Crew, etc., for all divisions)  The event is inclusive of all IVF divisions from Junior 16 through Master 80 in both Men and Women's events plus Para Va'a!

Basing the way forward on the process used for 2023 and processes used by other IVF members, the Committee expects to have a plan to announce in the next few weeks.
